Unable to implement widget correctly
-
Hello,
I am unable to get my language switcher widget to work correctly.
I’ve placed several .mo files into my wp-content\languages folder, and I tried both the [bogo] shortcode and activating the widget. The switcher appears, but my three languages are written as plain text and cannot be selected.
I’m not sure if this is due to my outdated version of WordPress (this is for a company website, and I first need to run the request for an update through the proper channels).
I’m happy to provide further information. 🙂
Thanks,
Chris

Can I see the site?
Thank you for your quick response, Takayuki. Here, I’ve placed the [bogo] shortcode at the bottom of one of our webpages:
How have you set up the “Front page displays” in Settings > Reading?
A static page. Front page is our Home, and Posts page is our Blog.
Does the front page have translations?
Also, what version of Bogo do you use? If you use old version, upgrade it first since old versions of Bogo have bugs around front page translation.
No, our front page does not have translations. I’m using Bogo v2.2.
However, I have to put this on the back burner for now. Thank you for your help, Takayuki-san. Adding .mo files to my \wp-content\languages folder breaks several pages on my website, so I need to figure out a way to stop this! 🙂
Why not make translations for the front page?
