It sounds like a corrupted installation. Kindly access the
wp-content/plugins/folder via FTP on your server, delete thewoocommercefolder and copy/paste to the same directory the core plugin files that can be downloaded from:https://downloads.wp.xz.cn/plugin/woocommerce.5.5.1.zip
You should always ensure that you have a backup of your site in case anything goes wrong. More info at Backing up WordPress content.

Still not working as it says it can’t find the file when I upload it.

I’m not able to replicate this on my test sites.
Could you share a screenshot of the error you are seeing and the page you are seeing it on please?
Do you have any other security or minifying plugins installed which could be interfering with the upload or installation?

That’s strange. Could you please share a copy of your site’s Site Health Information? You can find it via WordPress Dashboard > Tools > Site Health > Info. From there, click on “Copy site info to clipboard”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Are you using a free hosting service like 000webhost? I’ve researched this a bit and it looks like you’re missing permissions on the server or there is some limitation to extract and install WooCommerce core.
I would reach out to the hosting provider. If you’re using services from 000webhost you can post in their support forum here:
