    Hello,

    I have a WP site v 4.9.9 which I need to upgrade to the latest WP version. I am trying to use Duplicator plugin for migrating the site. I downloaded the .zip file of the plugin. However, when I try to add the plugin, I get various errors on every attempt.
    Sometimes the error says that ‘Cannot copy file’. Other times it says ‘Failed to write to disk’. Would anyone of you know why this is happening and how can I resolve it?

    Appreciate your support.

    Thanks!

    Regards,
    Neha

  • Hey @ngupta27

    Thanks for the feedback! There are a few items in the FAQ that may provide a solution to this issue, this one may get you going.

        – I’m having issues installing or updating Duplicator Pro. What can I do?
        – https://snapcreek.com/duplicator/docs/faqs-tech/#faq-licensing-012-q

    If none of those items cover it then you might check with your host to see if they are having issues with your site…

    Let me know if this helps~

    @corylamleorg Thanks, Cory!

    I checked the information mentioned on the link you shared. I have none of those issues. Everytime the installation gives me a different filename but the error is still the same – Cannot copy file. “some file name”

    I will check with my host if they can figure out the issue. I am confused.

    Have you by chance also tried installing other plugins by chance? Is this issue only happening with Duplicator?
