    Dear,

I was trying to set up the HTTPS protocol for our wordpress website according to the steps outlined in: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-ssl-and-https-in-wordpress/.

Since method 1 did not work, I started on method 2. After performing the first step (changing the URLs to HTTPS:// manually via settings), I got logged out of the admin portal.

When I tried to log in again by adding the wp-admin, I get the “too many redirects” error.

Being locked out from the portal, I tried to continue to fix the issue via the FTP. However this did not help. When trying to roll back the changes this actually broke the themes of my site. Now the formatting of the complete website is broken.

Can anyone give me any advice on how to get into the wp-admin portal again?
