Unable to update plugins

    I found a similar thread for people running wordpress 4.3 but I’ve having the same problem on 4.3.1. Whenever I try to update plugins I get this message:

    An error occurred while updating Akismet: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions. readme.txt, wrapper.php, class.akismet.php, class.akismet-admin.php, .htaccess, LICENSE.txt, class.akismet-widget.php, index.php, views, _inc, akismet.php, views/notice.php, views/strict.php, views/get.php, views/config.php, views/start.php, views/stats.php, _inc/img, _inc/akismet.css, _inc/form.js, _inc/akismet.js, _inc/img/logo-full-2x.png

    Any ideas?
