Unable to verify SSL Zen Domain ownership

Having installed SSL Zen and having verified my domain ownership once before, I have been unable to reverify it since the ownership has expired with the free version. Every time I try to verify ownership with the HTTP variant it tells me that the verification failed (I have followed each step according to the tutorial multiple times) and to try the DNS variant. The same thing happens with the DNS version. I have sent a report to SSL Zen via my account, however I have not heard anything back and the issue is still present. I would appreciate any help I can get.
