• We are getting unauthorized posts from our Admin account. I have updated our WordPress to the latest version, and reset the password to that account numerous times. (Most of the plugins and other spam solutions are geared towards comment spam, however our spam issues are with actual posts.)

We have gotten 4 of these posts in the past couple weeks.

Postings made to this site are automatically posted to our Twitter feed, via the “WP to Twitter” plugin. Could this be a target for Spam posts?

    Any suggestions?

  • I don’t know what is causing this issue, but it’s pretty unlikely that the problem here is directly related to WP to Twitter. WP to Twitter reacts to new posts being published, so the fact that these posts are getting published to Twitter just means that WP to Twitter is working normally; the problem is happening before WP to Twitter is engaged.

That doesn’t absolutely mean that there isn’t a problem in WP to Twitter, but it’s unlikely. It’s more likely that this relates to something that actually handles publishing posts on your site.

It sounds like you may have been hacked; you might want to employ a security company like Sucuri to check over your site.
