[FAQ] Uncaught Error: Class ‘WP_Statistics_Updates’ not found

    Hi,

    Regarding this error:

    
Error message: Uncaught Error: Class ‘WP_Statistics_Updates’ not found in …/wp-content/plugins/wp-statistics/includes/classes/class-wp-statistics-welcome.php:78

    This error just occurs once when you want to update the plugin from v12.5.7 to the latest version.

    Actually, the welcome page functionality has been removed after that version, and the WordPress upgrade process looking for that class during the upgrade process. (I don’t know exactly why)

    This is not break something or down the website, anyway to safe update, you can upgrade the plugin manually.

    Yo upgrade the plugin manually:

    1. Disable plugin through Plugins and then delete it.
    2. Go to Plugins > Add New and then search for WP-Statistics
