When using The Events Calendar on this page I’m receiving a Uncaught ReferenceError: tribe_dynamic_help_text is not defined.

Looking at the code it looks like the variable should possibly be tribe_dynamic_helper_text. Switching that manually resulted in another JS error further down the file though.

  • Hi @yingling017,

Thanks for your interest in our products.

Have you noticed any functional impact carried alongside this error? I’ll take a closer look at this and see if I can find the cause.

    Take care,

I haven’t seen a specific functionality error actually. I didn’t configure the plugin on this site so I’m not sure what features would be using this script. I was looking into some other issues and came across the error in the console.

I can delve a bit deeper into this for sure. Can you work through our Testing for Conflicts guide just to make sure that this isn’t a conflict between plugins and/or themes.

I’m thinking this may be related to your caching plugin and minification.

Let me know if disabling that helps.

    Take care,
    Ed ✌️

    Hey there,

Since this thread has been inactive for a while, I’m going to go ahead and mark it as resolved. Don’t hesitate to create a new thread any time you help again!

    Ed 🙂

I have found this error as well. I think the OP was on the right track, there are references to both ‘help’ for ‘helper’ in the plugin, perhaps one is incorrect?

    tribe_dynamic_help_text
    tribe_dynamic_helper_text

The issue is not resolved if the plugin ships with a script error.
