Uncaught SyntaxError !=

    Hi,

    I keep getting the below error in this file – load-scripts.php located in the wp-admin folder when I’m logged into WordPress:

    Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token !=

    A lot of items in WordPress have stopped working such as the Visual page editor and the WordPress sidebar submenu doesn’t show when hovering over a menu item.

    It sounds like something has corrupted a WP file. Can you access the UPDATES tab in the dashboard? If so, click the button to reinstall Word{Press. This will replace the core files with new copies.

    If that fixes things, then install the plugin “WordFence”. Visit the scanning options are and check all the boxes, so you get an extremely aggressive scan, then scan your site for malware.
