Hi @oliverkardos,
Thanks for your feedback and sorry to hear you’re not happy with the plugin at present. We are working on full multisite compatibility although we don’t have a timeline for this just yet. You can however keep watch of the below GitHub issue:
https://github.com/google/site-kit-wp/issues/276
So I’m not resorting to such a workaround, instead letting my dissatisfaction known here.
I’ll certainly pass on your feedback, thanks for sharing. There are various considerations when it comes to site verification and sharing of data between multi super admins and site admins which possibility require further analysis. Feel free to add your own comments on the related GitHub issue.
Hello!
Thank you so much for your prompt reply! I highly appreciate that you actively monitor feedback here and that you’re willing to help! As such I’m improving my rating to 4* .
Meanwhile, I decided I will settle with the mentioned workaround. I activated it site-by-site. The reason for that is because some of my sites now have a separate domain (using domain mapping) and it is easier to process statistics this way.
But stil, like I said I would like the team to fix centrally activated instances for multisite. I imagine there are many multisite installations that operate in subfolder mode, meaning they share a single domain, on which this central configuration mode would make sense, actually I had my site running like that until last week.
Hi there @oliverkardos,
Really appreciate the bump! Good point also in relation to network installs that operate on a subfolder basic as opposed to a subdomain. In some cases users may use the same Google Analytics property, which would make the authentication and user verification for admins easier. For Search Console a domain type property could also be used. I’ll add these notes to the related GitHub issue. Thanks again for the input.
