Uncropped thumbnails

    Is there a way to show the thumbnail images WITHOUT cropping the original image proportions? Ideally I’d like the grid to remain, but for the image to reduce to into the square of the thumbnail, but retain the original proportion. The remaining space can be white or transparent.

    You should be able to set the Gallery Image Size (size) attribute to use an image size that is not being cropped to a perfect square. If you have the Redux Framework installed, go to Settings > Image Gallery > Image Sizes and change the Gallery Image Size to something other than Thumbnail.
