When do you get the error exactly? Maybe test again after turning the WPEngine object cache off, temporarily…

Haha, no the original issue is not resolved, it just does not occur anymore. The dev version does not use transients in the same way. I suspect the WPengine object cache plugin will still throw a similar error under similar circumstances (when a transient is deleted).
Anyway, happy to hear my plugin is not involved anymore! 😉
