Please check if your PHP version is above 7.2 or greater as Defender v3.0 and above requires PHP 7.2 or above. We also recommend that the PHP version on your server be at least 7.4.

Can you please try temporarily removing the mentioned code and check if that resolves the issue?

If this is a live website with traffic, please perform the test using a staging website. A staging website is a copy of your live website in a new folder on the same server using a separate database.
