I’m trying to understand and evaluate statistics. Is there any documentation about statistics that explains what they mean. Without a benchmark of any sort it’s very hard to interpret results.

For example, my Object Cache Memcached “hit rate” is 9%. (My site is on a staging server so the statistics are going to be different when live, but I would like to know what to expect in the “real world”.) Is a 9% hit rate good, bad or neither?

It would be helpful if there was some frame of reference when considering statistics. Are there any benchmarks available?

    Hello

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to help!
There is no frame of reference because every website is different, meaning that depending on traffic, actions, and other things you can see in Detailed view (in debug mode only). In the detailed view, you can see the advanced statistics for each group, (calls, hits etc.)

if you are logged in you will not be served cached files, so be sure to keep that in mind when using statistics and monitoring hit rate. If the website is active with a lot of traffic, the hit rate will be higher.

    I hope this helps!

    Thanks!
