unexpected linebreaks

    I’m having issues with unexpected linebreaks being inserted into my posts -please see the linked image showing sending and receiving gmail accounts, the post, and the wysiwyg. The highlighted yellow is the linebreaks I do not want.

    I’ve played around with nearly every combination of settings under Message.

    Is this being caused by the character set? Currently this is set to utf-8 but changing to ISO-8859-1 doesn’t change things.

    Any ideas?

    I don’t think this has anything to do with Postie.
    Linebreaks aren’t significant in HTML so should have no effect.
    What happens if you switch to twentyfifteen or one of the other default themes?
