unexpected T_STRING error

    I just downloaded the latest version of WP and changed the config file, uploaded it and am getting this error when I try to access the install:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /homepages/30/d327720455/htdocs/wordpress-BRC-new/wp-includes/locale.php on line 21

    Any idea what would be causing this?
