Unexpected Template Called

    I added two files to my theme:

    • page-test.php
    • header-test.php

    Page-test.php is the only file that calls get_header(‘test’), but somehow some other templates are including header-test.php, even though they are calling get_header() with no parameters.

    I had forgotten to change the template name in the php comment. It was getting priority when I saved a page with the conflicted template.
