• I have been struggling with this plugin (which I actually like and use on other sites) on one site (which I now have in good shape!). I have uninstalled and re-installed a few times hoping to get a clean install, and is now uninstalled.
However in the database under wp_postmeta there are more than 150 items for maxgallery.
Presumably I can delete these to get a clean re-install later.

    kevjon,

Galleries, images and their related data is stored in the posts and postmeta tables. This data is not deleted from these tables if you deactivate and delete the plugin. If you want to remove all the galleries you can go into Galleries and check the checkboxs by each gallery and then under bulk actions move them to trash, and then from trash you can permanently delete them. If you want to delete the images in a gallery you can remove them through the media library.

If this solves your issue thanks in advance for marking this thread as ‘Resolved’ so we know your question has been answered and for giving us and our plugin a rating at Maxgalleria Reviews

I removed all the galleries before I deleted the plugin.
My question is why are there still over 150 Maxgallery references in wp_postmeta in the database? And is it OK to delete them?

These could be gallery settings. Yes, delete them if you wish. But be sure to make a backup of your database first.
