Hello!
Is it possible to make a custom field unique? So that we stop registration if another user already registered using the same info?

We need to add a custom field “VIN number” that is previously validated to follow rule: “ABC0000” and most importantly that is unique in the database so that no other user can register using the same VIN number.

Hi @sebastiang90

Have you tried checking the Validation option in the Field settings?

Please go to WP Admin > Ultimate Member > Forms > Edit a Register Form > Add a new Textbox > see “Validate” options and choose the “Unique Metakey Value”.

Yes, I think that would work. If we use it with UM action hooks we can get both alphanumeric validation and the unique field.
