unique downloads counts

hello,
On the page I have image, when I click image I can download the file.
I want to know how many uniques downloads will be. Is it possible to do with your plugin if yes than how.
In your plugin you need separately add files in “downlod” section and later I can add shortcode to the page.But how I could do in my case? Maybe there is a shortcode class that I could put in page with image only for counting.
