    Hello Sir,

I have a small challenge, which I don’t know how I can achieve it with Forminator.

The reason why I am looking at using Forminator, is because everything about Forminator is simple, intuitive and straight forward.

    THE WORKFLOW
1.)Create a Registration and Login Form: but the Form should enable Two(2) types of Registration Status:
    a.) Doctor.
    b.) Patient.

When anyone registers (whether Doctor or Patient), they should have a Unique ID generated for them.

    Something like this:
    a.) Doctor: ilera-Doc1
    b.) Patient: ilera-Clt1

2.) Create a Form named “Consultation Form“.

When a Patient submits the Form, the Form should generate a “Unique Consultation ID” in the format — ilera-ConsID-001

And it should attach this ID to the Form, and send the ID to both the user who submitted the Form and the Admin by email.

Then, at the bottom of the Form, we should be able to display the Date and Time that the Form was successfully submitted.

    CHALLENGE
How do I achieve this Flow, using Forminator Form ?

    Regards.

  • Hi @pressonforlife

I hope you are doing well today.

Please note that by default, this is not possible, and this will be outside the scope of support to provide such a thing. For that, you’ll need to hire a developer to provide the required custom code for you. WordPress provides a jobs directory here https://jobs.wordpress.net/, if you need further advice about it, feel free to email [email protected].

When I started using Forminator, some few years ago, the support used to be very helpful.

But these days, they seem quite unhelpful: before, even if a feature is not built-in, you still find ways to assist.

These days, you’ve become insensitive and uncaring, and any small thing that is not built-in, you are quick to say “Hire a Developer“.

You also told me to hire a developer when I asked for inline Field and Submit button, as you can see here — https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/inline-field-and-submit-button/

Whereas, when I put the same challenge to WPForms, as you can see here — https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/inline-newsletter-form/#post-18506332

They didn’t just guide me, they provided the needed CSS code on this same WordPress Forum: not in an email, not in a dedicated Support platform, but on this same WordPress Forum.

It begins to make us ask “What is really going on with Forminator ?”

Have you lost drive, and the fire of innovation that once burned in you ?

Please, activate that fire in you, that fire that was once the caring, sensitive and innovative Forminator that we once knew!

    MOVING ON
The question of Unique Form ID, should not be something that Forminator should tell me to go and hire a developer for.

If I want to be rude, I will be saying that it is to Forminator’s shame, that such a feature hasn’t been built in all the years of Forminator’s existence.

But I won’t be rude: I will be as polite as I can, because I still have maximum respect for the Forminator team.

Here is a Form I submitted to Webnus, the makers of Modern Events Calendar — https://prnt.sc/mlvA3dQ3OTjP

You can see that, as I received a copy, it came with the Ticket Number.

This feature has existed for more than a Thousand Years ( just joking about the Thousand Years thing )

The point is, the feature is a long known feature, and has been used in the Corporate world for more than at least, 100+ years.

So it’s painful that Forminator doesn’t yet have it, yet you brazenly say “hire a developer“.

This isn’t something that Forminator should still be proud of not having, at this time and age that we live in: the feature is already a stale feature because it is already being used everywhere, for more than 100+ years.

I believe that it is past time that Forminator should have it.

Please do implement this Form ID feature soon.

    Regards.

    Hi again @pressonforlife

As said in the previous topic, we modified the support scope, and any custom coding is now out of scope: https://wpmudev.com/docs/getting-started/getting-support/#custom-development

When it comes to your main query, I will pass your request to our Forminator Team for a review to see if we can include such functionality in future updates.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

    How is it getting along?

Has work started on the feature ?

    Hello @pressonforlife

We have received several requests for a similar feature, but since we receive lots of different features and due to the high volume of requests, we need to prioritize them based on the number of inquiries.

I’m afraid we still can’t give any promises or ETAs.

    Best Regards
    Amin
