unknown registrations

    I’m getting one or two registrations a day at http://www.pygmykayaker.com. None of them leave comments. The only reason to register would be to leave a comment. Most of the email addresses are Google.Mail. I don’t see any mischief, but is it possible these are hackers who are somehow using my URL for something else?

    Its weird but I’ve seen hundreds of registrations on blogs but no posts. Unless you notice mischief– users with admin privileges, weird user counts, that sort of thing– I’d just assume that these people registered and then changed their minds. You could check the email addresses against an email validation service and see if the addresses exist. If they don’t you could delete the users.

    A lot of them are actually spam accounts.

    I’d put up something like Bad-Behavior to stop them from being able to sign up.
