    Hi,

For the past few days we have been receiving significantly more failed orders than normal coming from Paypal Express checkouts.

We have just been able to replicate this for ourselves (we are in the UK and checking out as a normal UK customer).

    1. If we click PayPal Express from the CART, login in the modal to Paypal, it returns to to the Woo checkout page, we then click the final pay button and we get the following error:

[UNPROCESSABLE_ENTITY] The Requested Action Could Not Be Performed, Semantically Incorrect, Or Failed Business Validation. https://Developer.Paypal.Com/Docs/Api/Orders/V2/#Error-PAYER_ACTION_REQUIRED

    2. If we click the checkout button from the CART, and then click to pay through Paypal from the Checkout the transaction is successful.

We have been using this for years with no issue and all of a sudden this is happening.

We’re going to have to disable the plugin as it’s unstable and do not believe it’s anything to do with our Paypal account (as proved by it being successful if you follow a different woocommerce checkout path).

Also, looking at PayPal API Debug:

    /v2/checkout/orders/[obfuscated by me]/capture

HTTP Status being returned for the ones failing is 422 which means ‘Unprocessable Entity’

I have now reactivated the plugin but have disabled the ability to start the checkout from buttons on the Cart page which seems to be where the issue sits.

    Hi @mthelp,

The error PAYER_ACTION_REQUIRED usually relates to the buyer account.
So it’s quite strange why this behavior would appear for you only on the Cart page for but work fine on the other pages.

If you can reproduce the error, have you tried performing a conflict test by disabling all other plugins except for WooCommerce and PayPal Payments to rule out a compatibility problem?
    Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
