On several occasions now this plugin has unset the featured image, seemingly at random intervals, though it is more likely whenever WordPress updates.

Does the featured image of indivdual posts/pages get unset?
Or the default featured image(dfi) that is set in the settings/media get unset?

The plugin will delete the dfi if the plugin in uninstalled. Are you using an alternative update setup?

I don’t even know how to answer your questions — I guess I’m in over my head. I have an appointment with someone this afternoon who is experienced with WordPress, so he may be able to help me figure it out.

Happened again today. It seems even though the image is at the file path, it is no longer in the WordPress media library (some other images the same). This must be why the plugin cannot access it. I reckon this is a WordPress issue, not an issue with the plugin.

    Sorry to hear that.
I can guarantee that the plugin does not delete media.
My guess is that a different plugin/theme does it.

    Good luck finding the problem.
Sounds like a hard one to find.

It is. I think I’ll set the default image programatically instead, seeing as it’s path is still valid. I’ve read of other ppl with same issue, I think it’s something that happens when the media library gets to a HUGE size, but nobody seems to have fixed it just yet. Thanks for all!
