What I’ve seen is the link to click on is something like this:

So why are they taken to the checkout page and not to a page of our choosing to let them know they unsubscribed?
And how do I know they unsubscribed – is there an indication anywhere?

Thank you for reaching out to us.
If you see the unsubscribe link, there is one parameter, ‘unsubscribe=true’, which actually unsubscribes the user from sending the recovery email for that session and shows the message instead of the checkout form.

If any user has unsubscribed, then the Unsubscribed tag will be added in the details report.

I’m guessing this doesn’t work with a test mail. That might have been the problem.

If you check the test email, it might not work as there is no abandoned cart for the test email.
