What theme are using?
Your current WP version?
Plugin name(s)? downloaded from?

Thanks for providing feedback. I am using WP 3.6.1. I use theme “Twenty twelve” version 1.2 from WordPress team. Akismed 2.5.9 is the only plugins installed (I think it came with the basic installation). When I try to “update now” Akismed, it seems to work:

However, after that “success”, I log out, than log in again and find myself with the old version.

Why are you using such an outdated version of WP? That’s a major security risk.

probably your older WP version is not compatible with new version of plugin, thus the problem. Please consider what @wpyogi said.
Definitely strange. Can you post a link to your site?
without doubt I’d like to share that with you. However, as I just did a sample installation and did not take any particular security measures, I am hesitant to share in openly here. Can I send you a PN?
Iam puzzled also by the fact, that ww.wp.xz.cn claims that the installation is done by only installing the /var/www/wordpresss directory as it extracts from the ZIP dowload and than running the 5-minuate php skript.
Hower, that contradicts a more complex installation in various directories on the server, when you run “apt get wordpress” on DEBIAN LINUX.
Can you help? Is there a need to “apt get wordpress” ?
Sorry, we don’t have private messaging – help is offered only on these forums. Unfortunately, I don’t know anything the “apt get wordpress.” But you should be able to install WP in a sub-directory if you want – it’s quite commonly done.
