The SEO Framework plugin appears to be overwriting the TITLE in a popup window from a Radio Player plugin called ‘Erplayer’ – it is adding ‘Untitled’ (see capture https://www.dropbox.com/s/b83bkf566efbyhk/Screenshot%202021-04-08%20at%2013.22.09.png?dl=0)

To see, click on the LISTEN LIVE button on the URL provided.

If I disable The SEO Framework plugin, the overwriting does not occur. I have also tried using the Title Fix extension, it did not help.

Is there perhaps some custom code I can add to my child theme function file that will exclude this as the radio player does not use a custom post type? Thank you in advance.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Anyone have any suggestions on this? Thanks.

Hello! Sorry for my belated reply.

The Erplayer plugin outputs a page that doesn’t exist in WordPress, which is why neither TSF nor WordPress can define a title. Erplayer probably used the wrong hook to adjust the title, which is why TSF will put back ‘Untitled’, but I can’t confirm that without having access to the plugin.

There’s absolutely no need to run the WordPress theming instance in the popup, so I find it odd that they even try. If they decouple the popup’s content from WordPress and write a simple HTML5 wrapper, all issues would be gone (and that’d also save a lot of server overhead).

I’m afraid I cannot comment further on this. Please see the reason why here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/guidelines/#do-not-post-about-commercial-products. Therefore, I’m marking this topic as resolved.
