unwanted mails from wordpress

    Last week I asked a question in this forum. Since then I have been getting hundreds of mails a day with other people’s problems!
    Box is unchecked to receive mails.
    I’ve searched the forum and followed the instructions. I am NOT subscribed to anything. I’ve completed the checks and confirmed this.
    Checked profile and notifications pages and can’t find a thing that is out of place. Please can someone look into this.
    I know from the forum that I’m not the only one with this problem. This is absurd and a huge headache.

    When I look at https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/users/dlesbirel/subscriptions I don’t see that you’re subscribed to anything. Can you paste in one of the emails?

    @dlesbirel You’re subscribed to the “Fixing WordPress” forum.

    Go here:
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/

    In the upper right, there is a button labeled “Unsubscribe”. Click it. The page will reload and change to “Subscribe” there instead. Now you are unsubscribed from that forum.

    Thanks so much. I don’t quite understand how, as I wasn’t aware of subscribing to this, plus I clicked a link previously that was supposed to check for everything, and it said I wasn’t subscribed to anything. Anyway, thanks for the tip. Hopefully this will fix it. I’ll report back later if I don’t get any more mails.
