    I have created a new page on my site, and edited another. They are there, functioning, and the links work. I have somehow ended up with ‘stuff’ (see below) showing on the site, on the two last pages. Note!
    doesn’t show up in design tool…

    that ‘stuff’ might just be some sidebars or widget areas showing (even if you haven’t actively added any widgets).

    what theme are you using?

    does this also happen if you temporarily switch to the default theme Twenty Fourteen?

    what if you temporarily deactivate all plugins?

    it might help if you remove the password protection from your site to allow investigation of your problem.

    Sorry about the Password Protection. Active Theme is ‘Twenty Ten’, will try ‘Twenty Fourteen’ after annual meeting. Previous author helped me, Drop-down box on bottom right said ‘Default Template’, changed to ‘One Column’, problem solved ! Thank You !
