The upcoming list behaviour has historically always worked that way. The new Upcoming Events Columns display will show the multi-day events only once as you describe. That might be more to your liking.
Hey, thats great news. Any timeframe for the release? I could use it right away for a curremt projekt 🙂
Thank you!
It has already been released in version 3.9.0. You can view a demo at https://spiffycalendar.spiffyplugins.ca/event-columns/
Guess i didn’t understand the first time you mentioned the Columns. Columns are nice but if you need a simple list in a sidebar you can’t use them.
I just need a simple list of all the events with links, to show an overview of the next few months in 1 tight column. The “old” list would be exactly what i need if it would not repeat the same event 20 times.
I know i could strip and style the column layout to get a minimal look but it would be nice if you consider “fixing” the simple list view when multi-day events have to be displayed.
Thank you for your time,
B. Anders
I will consider adding the option in the future, but don’t plan on making any updates until next year.
In the meantime, it is fairly simple to modify the columns to display in a list by adding CSS to set their width to 100%.
Happy you consider it, because this calendar is great.
Meantime i spent the last hour styling and it turns out really nice.
but…
now i inserted a few more events and find that the Columns only display 3 events (no limit set) while the calendar displays them all.
Is this a limitation of the core plugin?
Edit: sorry, it was the limit in options.
Thank you!
