Hi – hopefully someone can help me as I’m lost. When I press “update” or “preview” on my page I get an:

    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator to inform of the time the error occurred and of anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

I’m using the Divi Theme 2.7.3 and have contacted them but they think its a wordpress thing. I have tried deactivating plugins and deleting them. I have tried both chrome and explorer browsers but have same issue.

    Thanks Kellie

If you have access to cpanel, look at the error logs and see if they have errors for current dates. If so, post errors.

Or, call your host and have them look. They might be able to help or give advice.

Hi pxforti – thanks for your reply.

I have sent an email to the server company to see if they can have a look. It is plesk windows 2012.

I set up a new clients domain today with wordpress 4.5.2 and Divi w.7.4 (latest updates for both) and the error page turned up after installing the theme but once the theme was activated it seems to work ok. My trepidation is that the first site worked ok for a while too and then started getting the error page so would like to find out why it is happening before putting too much work into the website.

    Cheers, Kellie

Best to talk with your host. I have no experience with windows servers, but your host should be able to help with server errors.
