Update Check Encountered Error

    I recently started getting the following error when my site is scanned for plugin, theme and core software updates: Update Check Encountered Error on ‘wp-google-maps-gold’

    Is there a task/action I need to take to resolve this? Perhaps there is a new version of the plugin any my WordPress installation cannot see it?
