Update created multiple unauthorized posts

    I updated Postie to the newest version this morning, and then started to receive multiple notifications of 2 current posts being re-posted via Postie (15+ notices) and a number of “unauthorized” posts were created using the admin’s email and dated to 2013, also via Postie.

    I rolled back the website to a previous backup, before the update, and that solved the problem. Thoughts?

    Also, I noticed that the target email address (Mail Userid) was also listed as one of the Authorized Addresses and I do NOT have Delete After Posting turned on. Could this have created a loop?

    Yes if you don’t delete the messages after they are processed they will be reprocessed the next time.
