• Hey,

I am an editor of http://www.popculture-y.com and earlier today I thoughtlessly clicked ‘update all’ plugins on the site. One of these plugins was an events calender, and it didn’t update properly. It caused the site to crash and delivered this error message:

Warning: require_once(/home/sforshar/popculture-y/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Main.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/sforshar/popculture-y/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/the-events-calendar.php on line 32

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/sforshar/popculture-y/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Main.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/sforshar/popculture-y/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/the-events-calendar.php on line 32

I’m pretty panicked (it’s a busy time for us) so I logged into wordpress.com to access the site. The was a red symbol triangle next to my site and it said that I couldn’t access the site. I disconnected the jetpack thinking I could reconnect and solve the problem. However, my entire site disappeared and I can’t retrieve it.

So now I am even more panicked! What can I do to a) reconnect it and b) get access to delete that pesky calender plug in?

    Jetpack Mechanic 🚀

Could you try to log in to your site via FTP or CPanel, and delete the existing Jetpack plugin folder, and reinstall the plugin manually as explained here:
    http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation

You’ll find the Jetpack plugin folder here:

    wp-content
       plugins
         jetpack - DELETE THIS FOLDER

If you’re not sure how to do this, you can ask your hosting company for help. They should also have documentation explaining how to edit or remove files from your site using FTP or a File Manager in your admin panel.

Let me know how it goes.
