You should be getting a detailed error message as to why it can’t be updated.
Also, are you really referring to bbpnns or one of the premium add-ons?

Sorry, I missed that information, my fault. It’s bbPress Notify (No-Spam) Digests. You know that thing were you have 34 tabs open in your browser and you can’t figure out where the music is coming from?
