Just to clarify your issue: you set the update frequency to “daily”, but it is now set to “never” – and it returns to “never” whenever you attempt to change it back to “daily”?
Have you tried refreshing the page straight after saving the main settings in the Setup tab? To replicate this error, I may need your exact settings (not API Key) so that I can see what is stopping the Update Frequency from saving.

Enclosed 2 screenshots with my settings.
The Api is also correctly set up at Google.
The billing is also set up correctly and works.
The problem exists, as said, with several installations.
Until some time ago it worked with the automatic update, but only recently it stopped working.
It should be mentioned that the Places Api is different for the other project with the same problem. So it can’t be because of Google I think.

An obvious one but I need to ask: have you checked that another administrator hasn’t turned off the synchronization?
I am the only administrator. And the sync doesn’t even change. It always stays on never!

@smgwebdesign Spotted the bug… it is stored correctly (so it will sync), but the Settings tab it still shows as the value: “Never” thanks to some over enthusiastic JavaScript. I’ll add a new release soon to fix this and tag you at the same time.
