update from php 7.4 to 8.2 breaks child theme

    My Go theme is up to date and works with php 8.2 however my child theme only works with php 7.4. How can I update my child theme? Is there a log of changes made to Go theme so I can check how they affect the child theme? It’s a lot of work down the drain if I have to start over from scratch. Thanks
