Update has failed to complete

    I am getting the message
    “An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again now” This message persists and doesn’t go away. When I click to update again it says I have the latest already.

    Via FTP or your hosting control panel’s file manager app, look for a hidden file named “.maintenance” i the root of your website. If the file is there, delete it.

    IT fixed itself without me needing to do that. The site wasn’t in maintenance mode in that I could go to the front end… and yet the message was there for days… but now, since I 1st logged in, saw it there and contacted you….it’s just gone now. Go figure.
