Update issue with GiveWP plugin

    I am trying to update GiveWP plugin for the database update and am hosted on Siteground and the database portion of the plugin still won’t update still after trying all of the troubleshooting what I have found in the articles about this issue. It is stuck at 0% and going nowhere. This plugin was a package with a theme called Charitab so wondering if that theme is creating the issue as well. I even tried to reinstall the newer version of the plugin and it shows with the latest version but is still asking for the database update. What can I do now?

    Hi @amyamy12,

    Happy to help.

    First, I want to clarify that you should always use the copy of GiveWP from the WordPress plugin repository. We have come across a few “premium” themes that bundle a copy but that just causes more problems than it’s supposed to solve plus there’s no guarantee that it’s always the latest version.

    That said, if the database is getting stuck there will be a corresponding error in the logs: Donation -> Tools -> Logs, click the eye icon on any of the recent Error entry that has the description “Database update”. Copy/paste the full error message in your next reply.

    Also include your System Info: Donations -> Tools -> System Info.
