    Hi @pacson,

Thank you for the detailed explanation — that really helps.

From what you described, it seems the issue occurs when WP Plugin Manager is active, and it may be affecting the PayPal for WooCommerce plugin during checkout, resulting in the “not a valid JSON response” error.

This usually happens when a required script or request is being blocked or not loaded properly. We’ll need to investigate how the plugin rules are interacting with PayPal on your checkout/payment pages.

    Could you please confirm:

    • On which pages you have disabled plugins using WP Plugin Manager?
    • Whether the PayPal plugin is disabled on any checkout-related pages?

If possible, please create a support ticket here and share your plugin rules or screenshots:

This will help us investigate the issue more efficiently.

We’ll do our best to resolve this as quickly as possible.

    Best regards,
    Madhusudan

    thank you for reply.
I always have the same settings. And it was always good. Only if I do the update. If I undo the update again. If the error message no longer comes and PayPal works again

As soon as I do update, the error comes. Settings are always the same and has always worked.

    Hi @pacson,

Thank you for the clarification — that helps a lot.

We understand now that the issue appears only after updating WP Plugin Manager, while your settings remain unchanged and everything works fine before the update. This indicates that the update may be causing a conflict with the PayPal for WooCommerce plugin.

We’ll review this on our end and check what might be causing the issue in the latest version.

In the meantime, if possible, please create a support ticket here and share your plugin rules or screenshots so we can investigate more precisely:

Thank you for your patience — we’ll work to resolve this as soon as possible.

    Best regards,
    Madhusudan
