Update not possible

    Hi there,

    since a couple of month it is not possible to update nextgen gallery.

    We are using the WordPress-Toolkit on Plesk for Windows. Also if you logged in directly you can’t perform an Update.

    I´ve checked all permissions twice. I´ve deleted the whole plugin directory and tried to reinstall it.

    Every time we get the same error message:

    Installation failed or update failed. Can’t copy a file.

    Installation fehlgeschlagen: Die Datei konnte nicht kopiert werden. nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_addgallery_page/static/plupload-2.1.1/jquery.plupload.queue/css/jquery.plupload.queue.css

    The problem is on 3 different domains on this server.

    Hi Martin,

    I am sorry to hear of the encountered issue. I would suggest updating NextGen by FTP by uploading the unzipped nextgen-gallery folder to “wp-content/plugins” folder ( please make sure that the plugin’s folder has been priorly removed )

    As an alternate option, you can just contact your hosting provider’s support and ask them to check and make sure that the plugins folder is writable.
