This is a message that I have received from my web host:

We have tried switching to a newer PHP Version but it appears to break your website because it is not compatible with it.

Considering this, we would recommend contacting an experienced developer who could assist you in upgrading your application because the PHP Version is switched.

    Hi,

Unfortunately, without an actual server error describing the nature of the incompatibility issue, we are unable to give you a proper solution. If your hosting company has detected an incompatibility issue between VikRentCar and your current PHP version, then a Fatal Error must have been logged by your web-server, and that’s the only message that would help us understand if there is really an issue with our plugin.

I assume you have been working with PHP 8.0 or 8.1, which, as of 2022, are very recent PHP versions that WordPress itself does not fully support as you can ready from the topic below:

    WordPress 5.9 and PHP 8.0-8.1

In any case, our development team has completed most tests with success even with PHP 8.0 and so VikRentCar should fully support it. Instead, for what concerns any PHP version in the series 7.x, there can’t be any incompatibility issue.

You should probably downgrade to PHP 7.x until the WordPress core will be fully compatible with PHP 8.x. In the meantime, if you want to report a PHP error, we kindly ask you to do it through our website so that our programmers can get back to you. Thank you.

    Best regards,
    The VikWP Team
