Why can’t I update the pro version of the plugin anymore just by clicking update? It was wants me to login via FTP or SFTP to update. I’ve never seen that required before. I think it’s because I selected my host. Now I can’t update!!!!!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @exdesign,

This is a message from WordPress itself, it is not a requirement from Really Simple SSL specifically.

It is related to the file and folder permissions on your server. If WordPress does not have sufficient permissions, it falls back to requesting FTP credentials in order to install plugins and updates.

I recommend contacting your hosting provider and requesting them to check and adjust the file/folder permissions for this WordPress installation. Or if you’re comfortable doing so, you can try manually addressing the issue. Here’s a relevant resource which mentions the potential solutions: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/17922644/wordpress-asking-for-my-ftp-credentials-to-install-plugins

    Kind regards, Jarno
