    Hi @shinde77,

It is important to note that the SSL certificate (e.g., the .crt/key/cabundle files) has to be installed on your server, as opposed to doing that via the WordPress application.

I assume that you already have a new/valid SSL certificate given your comment about the .crt file, so all you don’t have to generate one with this plugin anymore. All you would have to do is install your new SSL certificate in your server control panel (e.g., cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin…).

I will attach instructions on how to do that for each of these control panels below, but unfortunately I can’t tell you which of these control panels is used on your server specifically.

Installing an SSL certificate in Plesk: https://really-simple-ssl.com/installing-an-ssl-certificate-on-plesk/

    Kind regards, Jarno

I have an active SSL certificate installed on my website, aeromegh.com, which is hosted on a VPS private server and built with WordPress. It’s now time to renew the SSL (Apache2) certificate, and I have received the updated .crt, .key, and ca-bundle files from the certificate provider.

I would like to update these files via WinSCP or SSH. Could you please guide me with the step-by-step procedure?

    Hi @shinde77,

As mentioned previously, while this plugin can be used to generate an SSL certificate for your WordPress site; and to enforce HTTPS on the site (e.g., fixing mixed content, redirecting to https://) so that it works correctly over SSL; it does not replace the installation process of the SSL certificate on your web server.

Therefore, you can refer to the instructions as provided by your hosting provider on how to install the SSL certificate on your specific server environment. This will mention the exact steps that are necessary to do so on your environment.

    Kind regards, Jarno
