Update revision timestamp?

    When a new document is uploaded, is there a way to modify the timestamp of the last revision to the page? The reason I ask is because outside software I’m using relies on this timestamp to determine whether or not to refresh a cache of the page. When new documents are uploaded, the timestamp reflects an older data and the cache does not get flushed.
