Update Theme From Alternative Area (Like github)

My theme is not ready for ww.wp.xz.cn hosting yet, and I’m attempting to update it across multiple sites from github using http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/theme-updater.
…it does not appear to work…
Is there a good alternative to this sort of thing?
