Hi there, just to let you know I’ve received the update notice for the new version of A5 Custom Login and both sites went down after doing the update.

The one site left me with a completely blank page on logout and I got a ‘server error’ when I tried to view the home page.

The other site gave me the error message: “Fatal error: Call to undefined function a5_scripts() in /home/[mysitename]/public_html/wp-content/plugins/custom-login-page/class-lib/CLP_DynamicJSClass.php on line 21” on lougout.

I’ve gone into each site via ftp and deleted the plugin folder which seems to have solved the problem on both sites.

Each of these sites run a custom login page for the wordpress dashboard. Don’t know if that has anything to do with it?

I’m now reluctant to reinstall Custom Login or update on my other sites.

Just thought you’d like to know what’s happened…

    Cheers

  • Hi.
    Ditto Colleen’s issue.
Version 2.7 was hunkydory. Updated to 2.8 and had to disable the plugin. After a fresh install, the same error appears.

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function a5_scripts() in /home/thisserver/public_html/wp-content/plugins/custom-login-page/class-lib/CLP_DynamicJSClass.php on line 21

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

    Yes,

I’m very sorry for the bug, I produced there. For some reason, I didn’t see any error in my testing environment and I put version 2.8 to the repository.

When updating my live environments, all sites went down. But version 2.8.1 doesn’t have that error anymore.

    Best,
    Stefan

    Looking good!
Thanks for the quick response, and a wonderful plugin.
