Hey @purple32! Are you still experiencing issues with Gutenberg 11.5.1? You can also test out 11.6RC, which will be launched on Wednesday? https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/releases/tag/v11.6.0-rc.1 Would love to hear more about what went wrong and make sure it gets properly reported to the Gutenberg repo: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues
In any case, keep in mind that you don’t need to use the Gutenberg plugin in order to get the latest for the block editor:
Become an Early Adopter With the Gutenberg Plugin
Hopefully this article helps you determine whether it’s best to use the plugin on your site!
Thank you, I will try the update since Gutenberg does have good features that I would like to access as a helpful plugin.
The PHP error message that came up after the update was the following:
PHP Warning: file_get_contents(/home/customer/www/test-site.com
/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gutenberg/lib/theme.json): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/customer/www/test-site.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gutenberg/lib/class-wp-theme-json-resolver-gutenberg.php on line 71
I think it may have happened as a result of interacting with other plugins, like cache reBusted and Redux?
