• This might be tough to explain, but basically I updated my wordpress from 3.8 to 4.5. Now that it’s done when I go to edit my pages the layout is gone. an example would be if you go to http://www.nesasales.com and look at the home page there is a blue sidebar with a video in it and it says featured products as well as a blue at the bottom with pics and links. Well on my edit page that blue sidebar and footer are gone and the formatting is off. If I paste in the css used to make it into the code editor and switch to the visual editor and back to the code editor the part I pasted will be gone.
Before updating the WordPress site, I had a little bit of code in the wpui section of custom css. I forgot what was in there and maybe that is related to the issue as it is blank now…thanks everyone.

  • 1. Have you tried the 2016 theme?

    2. Did you disable the enable plugins one by one (I know, a pain) and test.

    3. Does your host provider have a backup you can recover to?

I disabled the plugins and nothing. In the WP UI plug in with tab and accordions there is a place for custom css. Originally I had a simple css statement in there I believe allowing css to be used in the wordpress editor and I cannot for the life of me remember it or how I found it. I hope that makes sense.

    Thank you!
